The Locusts Manor Boiled One Update

New hunter name, new lighting maps, new sequence. The old nest still teaches the three-item EXIT.

Boiled One Update

The Boiled One update is the first named drop House of The Locust advertised in public. The Roblox listing now reads [BOILED ONE] House of The Locust. NULLWORKS billed the drop as a big update for 22:00 UTC on Monday 31 August 2026 (15:00 Pacific, 18:00 Eastern, 23:00 British Summer Time, 00:00 Central Europe on 1 September). Official copy promised The Boiled One for Lights Out, new Lights On and Lights Out maps, and a new gameplay escape sequence. This page is that banner, translated into play advice. Parent timeline: updates hub.

We are not going to invent a moveset. If you have not died to The Boiled One yet, you do not know its hitbox. Treat it as a second anomaly, not as The Locust with a paint job. DoctorNowhere created both creatures. NULLWORKS has to implement both.

Lights On versus Lights Out

Lights On is the nest you learned from August clips: chandeliers, wallpaper, visible pads. Lights Out is why fullbright scripts suddenly look attractive. If you play Lights Out without audio, you are guessing. If you play it without a stack, assign yourself the bait job from the co-op list even as a solo — you need a plan for when you cannot see pads.

Practical Lights Out habits:

  • Slow down. Sprint is noise and a missed doorframe.
  • Use landmarks you can feel: rug changes, stair lips, the glow of EXIT if it still glows.
  • Do not Search-lock cabinets. Cancel faster than you did on Lights On.
  • Pinning The Locust for a Keycard is harder when you cannot see the loop. Trust audio more, visuals less.

If pads are invisible, you cannot fake the cube puzzle from memory. Scout with a teammate’s callouts or wait for a Lights On round.

The new escape sequence

The banner did not publish a new item list. Until the live prompts say otherwise, bring the old three: Wirecutters, Key, Keycard. Then read the door. If a fourth prompt appears, it is real. If a prompt disappears, believe that too. Do not force an August walkthrough onto a September door.

The escape walkthrough stays up because it still teaches the original nest and because many servers will keep that layout. This page exists so you do not argue with a Lights Out door using a Lights On memory.

Timing leftovers

If you missed the 31 August window, you did not miss a limited code. There was no code. You missed a content drop that remains on the experience. Relog. If your private server is stuck on an older nest, leave it. Pre-alpha private instances do that.

What to re-test after you load in

  1. Does The Locust still wedge on the same doorframes? Intelligence was advertised alongside Boiled One.
  2. Do cube colors still read at a distance?
  3. Does EXIT still speak English prompts you recognize?
  4. Do ESP hubs still attach to the right props, or to chairs? If chairs, disable auto-escape.
  5. Does Free Roam still exist for movement practice?

How to Play is still the first hour. The Locust is still the hunter page until Boiled One has enough deaths to earn its own entity article.

What this update is not

It is not a Trello. It is not a redeemable string. It is not MM2 of The Locust’s ghoul patch. It is not a reason to uninstall movement from your hands. Slide still matters. Cancel still matters. One cube at a time still matters.

When we have a verified second hunter page, it will hang under Entities. Until then, do not copy abilities from analog-horror shorts and paste them here as facts.
